Ropes Course Workshop...
What Last Year's Participants Had to Say
Here are a few of the comments made in the evaluations of the 2007 workshop:
I attended this year's workshop because I have in the past and I always learn new and valuable information. This year our camp will also be moving our Low ropes Course and I wanted some more insight on building low elements.
I come for what Sandy Cove needs me to learn, what I want to learn and for the fun and fellowship.
My superior offered to send me to get me ready to take over supervision of our challenge course.
The workshops are always strong. The camp is beautiful and the people are always great. I have a new assistant who I wanted to get some good training for.
I learned a lot about myself and how I tried to push groups in a certain way. I also got a lot out of the 'stuff' that was presented in the seminars/workshops to bring back and use right away.
Helped me to develop the ministry focus the R/C course. Gave me a forum to ask specific building questions. Great new activities with a purpose.
I enjoyed the opportunity to interact with others in the field of challenge course facilitation and management. I gained a great deal of knowledge and ton of new group challenges/initiatives.
Good info on certification, great to be able to dialog with those at the center of it. Good break, good fellowship.
Wow, where do I begin? Just the time spent with others in the ropes course industry was valuable-to network with others and share ideas of how their program is run and consider whether those ideas could be implemented in what I do. I picked up on ways I can become a better facilitator and do a better job of briefing and debriefing groups so they can get the best experience possible. I am now certified in High Ropes Rescue, thanks to the Head Start Workshop.
