Walk to the Cross

Jumonville is hosting, for the first time, a remembrance and reflection journey by walking to the Great Cross of Christ! The journey will include 7 stations where walkers can reflect on the final hours of Jesus and the events that led to the fulfillment of God’s plan for Salvation.

Come by family, small group, or by yourself to count the coins, touch the nails, and take communion as you walk the road up to the cross.

There is no cost to attend. The event will be held on Friday April 10th (Good Friday) from 10AM-6PM. There will be 1 van to provide transportation from station to station, for individuals with limited walking ability. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in Welsey Hall.

We are looking for volunteers to greet, monitor stations, assist with parking, etc. If you are interested in volunteering for the event, please call the office at (724) 439-4912 and ask for Sharon
