Rev. Jeff Greenway
Rev. Jeff Greenway was born in McKeesport, Pa. to the Rev. Harold and Betty Jo Greenway. He graduated high school from Fairview H.S. and went on to attend Mount Union College from which he graduated with a BA in Business Management and Marketing. From there he attended Asbury Theological Seminary and obtained his Master of Divinity and later attended Wesley Theological Seminary from which he earned a Doctor of Ministry degree. Rev. Greenway was ordained a Deacon in the United Methodist Church in the Western Pennsylvania Conference in 1984 and then ordained an Elder in that same conference in 1987. He is presently a member of the West Ohio Conference. In the Western Pennsylvania Conference Rev. Greenway served First UMC in Butler, Pa. and Christ UMC in Erie, Pa. He also served as the District Superintendent of the Pittsburgh East District from 1999-2004 and from there went on to be the President of Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Ky. Currently Rev. Greenway is the Lead Pastor at Reynoldsburg UMC in Reynoldsburg, Oh.
If you were to ask Rev. Greenway what is theological beliefs are he would say, “I believe in the necessity of a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ, which by its very nature must work itself out in mission and ministry to the world around us. I believe this is the very essence of our Wesleyan heritage. I am committed to the authority of Scriptures in matters of faith and practice. My colleagues and friends see me as a person who is able to dialogue and find common ground with persons from all theological perspectives”.
Rev. Greenway has published numerous articles and sermons. He has also published two books, “Grace and Holiness on a Changing World”, and, “Making Room to Grow”.
