Sledriding

Jumonville offers sled riding hills and trails of varying difficulty. Don’t forget your sled, snowboard, or cross country skiis if your going to be here for a winter retreat. You are welcome to bring your own sleds, skiis or snowboards to your winter retreat, as Jumonville does not provide any of this equipment.

Tennis

Four tennis courts are available for use by your group, weather permitting. A limited amount of tennis equipment can be checked out (borrowed) from the Jumonville Office by our guests.

Wrist Rockets

Wrist Rockets are like “sling shots.” However, we put a neat twist on it and shoot dog food rather than stones so it is much safer and the dog food is biodegradable. A fun activity with our own targets that let you know by the sounds if you hit the target.

Soccer

Learn how to “dribble” and “head” the ball at soccer camp or at sports camp this summer. A number of other camps also play soccer as part of their week’s activities.

Tire Swing

Tire Swing The tire swing is a favorite of all ages. Who doesn’t enjoy a turn on the tire swing.

Swimming

The camp pool is open all summer between Memorial Day and Labor Day. It is heavily used by our summer camping program. If your conference or retreat falls between these dates, contact the Jumonville office if you would like to make arrangements for your group to swim. We need to make sure that we can…

Football

Football is just one of the sports you can learn or improve your skills at if you come to a sports camp this summer or get together a football game with your retreat group. Winter football can be quite interesting and is a tradition for a number of retreat groups!

Ultimate Frisbee

Ultimate frisbee is also a favorite of some of Jumonville’s camps. Games can be mild or wild. Senior High Sports Camp always includes a rousing game of ultimate frisbee that has been a camp tradition for years.

Four Square

Four square is a camp and playground favorite for many. There is almost always a game going. Join in a game and enjoy this “playground” fun!

Nine Square in the Air

Nine Square in the Air is one of our newer games and was a big hit the last several summers. It’s like a combination of volleyball and foursquare and is a very fast moving game that keeps play really moving. Click here to download a pdf file with instructions for nine square in the air.

Street Hockey

For some serious fun, come to a sports camp this summer and you may have an opportunity to learn to play street hockey.

Basketball

Two outdoor basketball courts are available for your group weather permitting. The courts are also used extensively as part of our summer camping program and our summer sports camps. New sport court was just added in 2013.
