Heather Withrow
President
Heather comes to Jumonville most recently from Glacier Camp in Lakeside, Montana. Originally hailing from Elkins, West Virginia, Heather answered God’s call to camping ministry upon her graduation from West Virginia University, having earned her degree in Recreation and Parks Management with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. Now with more than twenty years in the camping and retreat ministry, Heather brings with her a wealth of knowledge, experience, and wisdom. Heather is active in the American Camp Association and the National Conference Committee of the United Methodist Camp and Retreat Ministry.
Sarah Hladinec
Office Manager & Summer Camp Registrar
Sarah is our Office Manager and also serves as our summer camp registrar. Sarah worked on kitchen staff during high school and business school and still works shifts in the kitchen. Sarah is a "PK" who's dad is a United Methodist pastor. Sarah married Chris who is our Food Service Assistant Director In June of 2014. Sarah can answer all of your questions in regards to summer camp registration and gifting concerns. Sarah's smiling face can be encountered in the office as she is here to welcome and serve our guests in the name of Jesus Christ.
Chris Hladinec
Guest Relations Coordinator & Food Service Director
Chris is our Guest Relations Coordinator and Food Service Director. Chris started his career at Jumonville in 2007 when he was 14, working in the Dishroom through High School and College. Upon Graduating from Penn State Fayette in May of 2014 he took over as our Assistant Food Service Director. In July of 2018, he took on another role as our Guest Relations Coordinator, running our Snack Shop & Welcome Center. Chris met his wife Sarah at Jumonville while working in the Kitchen together, and the two of them enjoy living, and working on the Mountaintop. Chris can be found around camp either in the Kitchen cooking a hot meal, or in the Welcome Center greeting retreat guests, and visitors and helping with their diverse needs during their stay with us.
Craig Meeder
Director of Operations
Craig Meeder grew up at Jumonville as one of the Meeder kids. He met his wife, Sharon, at Jumonville, married down in Green Cathedral, and worked on maintenance staff from 2000 - 2006. Craig returned to Jumonville at in August 2015 to take on the role of Director of Maintenance following in the footsteps of his father, Scott Meeder. The Meeder Family loves the outdoors and all that Jumonville has to offer and are happy to be back on the Jumonville mountaintop.
Rebekah Patterson
Program Director
Rebekah is a longtime summer staffer and dean at Jumonville. She has a great love of the outdoors, sports and adventure activities. She oversees our Adventure Program, Summer Camp Program, and our HOPE Camp Ministry. Most recently Rebekah was a PE teacher with the Culpeper, Va. School System but once again she calls Jumonville home. Through Rebekah's love of adventure, sports and kids we know that Good News of the Gospel will be shared as we continue to make disciples for Jesus Christ.
Rebecca Shaffer
Housekeeping Coordinator & Dining Hall hostess
Rebecca's smiling face can often be found in the dining hall welcoming groups and campers! She is also the one who keeps our camp looking spick and span. Rebecca has worked here for 8 years, she started in the office and worked her way through the kitchen. Her favorite part of working at Jumonville is interacting with the people.
