Hope Camp
HOPE Camp
(Helping Overcome Problems Everyday)
HOPE Camp (Helping Overcome Problems Everyday), is a partnership Jumonville has formed with several organizations, including Prison Fellowship and local after-school programs. It brings high-risk children into a safe environment to be encouraged, loved, and challenged to grow in their spiritual, social, and personal lives. Camps are offered for FREE and are based on a different age level for each week, Sunday through Friday.
The registration deadline for HOPE Camp is June 1st or two weeks before the start of that event.
HOPE Camp is made possible by the generous donations of churches, individuals, and organizations who are committed to offering hope to children who live in poverty or who may be exposed to high-risk behaviors in the larger community. Children and youth, ages 6-17 years old may apply to attend HOPE Camp if they meet the following:
- receive assistance from a county Social Service agency (medical benefits are no longer accepted)
- is in foster care
- OR, has a parent/guardian in prison
Campers must have their own transportation, or connect with a church or volunteer who is willing to provide transportation.
If you are interested, contact the Jumonville office at 724-439-4912 or send an email to rebekah@jumonville.org.
Lives are changed as the gospel of Jesus Christ is shared in cabin devotions, on the sports fields, or in the dining hall. The Wednesday worship services held each week are interactive and fun. It brings more of the joy of the Spirit into the hearts of the children, and home to their churches and schools.
