Football
Football is just one of the sports you can learn or improve your skills at if you come to a sports camp this summer or get together a football game with your retreat group. Winter football can be quite interesting and is a tradition for a number of retreat groups!

Ultimate Frisbee
Ultimate frisbee is also a favorite of some of Jumonville’s camps. Games can be mild or wild. Senior High Sports Camp always includes a rousing game of ultimate frisbee that has been a camp tradition for years.

Four square is a camp and playground favorite for many. There is almost always a game going. Join in a game and enjoy this “playground” fun!

Nine Square in the Air

Archery
Archery Ready, aim, let fly! Maybe you’ll hit a bullseye. Jumonville has both archery equipment and a special designated area. Archery is used with a number of summer camps including many sports camps and sampler camps. The equipment is in a locked shed when not in use.

Running
Jumonville has almost 300 acres and lots of trails that provide great opportunities for those who like to run. Up for a huge challenge? How about a run up to the cross or down to Green Cathedral and back.

Volleyball
Two asphalt surfaced volleyball courts and two sand volleyball courts are available for use by your group as long as the weather cooperates. Volleyball equipment can be obtained in the Jumonville office. Jumonville has both sand volleyball courts as well as paved courts that are covered in “sport court.”

Two shuffleboard courts are available for use by your group weather permitting. The courts are located near the archery field, beside the Ben Cromer Adventure Center. Games are always an important part of every week of summer camp. Both competitive and non-competitive games build communication skills, deepen relationships, and add fun and excitement to the summer camp experience.

Hiking
Our hiking trails are very extensive and take you through some of the more beautiful parts of our campus. Some of our camps also make use of the hiking trails at Ohiopyle.
