Running

Jumonville has almost 300 acres and lots of trails that provide great opportunities for those who like to run. Up for a huge challenge?  How about a run up to the cross or down to Green Cathedral and back.

Volleyball

Two asphalt surfaced volleyball courts and two sand volleyball courts are available for use by your group as long as the weather cooperates. Volleyball equipment can be obtained in the Jumonville office. Jumonville has both sand volleyball courts as well as paved courts that are covered in “sport court.”

Shuffleboard

Two shuffleboard courts are available for use by your group weather permitting. The courts are located near the archery field, beside the Ben Cromer Adventure Center. Shuffleboard is not just a game for senior citizens on a cruise ship. Jumonville Hope Campers love shuffleboard! Lots of the campers from Family Week also enjoy shuffleboard as do…

Baseball Softball

A full baseball/softball field is available for retreat groups, weather permitting.

Sledriding

Jumonville’s hills offer sled riding of varying difficulty when there’s snow on the ground. Bring your own sleds, skis, or snowboards — equipment is not provided on campus.

Tennis

Four outdoor tennis courts are available for retreat groups during warmer weather. A limited number of rackets and equipment can be borrowed from the Jumonville office.

Wrist Rockets

Wrist Rockets are like “sling shots.” However, we put a neat twist on it and shoot dog food rather than stones so it is much safer and the dog food is biodegradable.  A fun activity with our own targets that let you know by the sounds if you hit the target.

Soccer

Open field available for group pickup games, weather permitting.

Tire Swing

Tire Swing The tire swing is a favorite of all ages. Who doesn’t enjoy a turn on the tire swing.

Swimming

The camp pool is available to retreat groups during summer months. Contact the Jumonville office when inquiring to confirm availability and arrange pool access for your group.

Games

Games are always an important part of every week of summer camp. Both competitive and non-competitive games build communication skills, deepen relationships, and add fun and excitement to the summer camp experience.

Hiking

Wooded trails through the Green Cathedral give groups space to walk, reflect, and enjoy the mountain setting. The campus fit trail, funded in part by a Fayette County Tourism Grant, features ten exercise stations.
